Kids and Dogs

Hopefully somewhere along the way you find something you really love. Probably most who read this have fallen in love with retrievers. Once you go down this road, you fall into this insatiable hunt for knowledge.

Because of the thirst for knowledge we all do some fairly insane things to get all we can get. We travel two days to spend an afternoon with a successful trainer. We use our summer vacations to sweat in 100-degree weather while spending the vast majority of our time unhappy with our dogs performance.

But, what if you had the opportunity to have your ol' man drive you to a lodge where three very, very good trainers are waiting to help you and your dog with anything you need or want.

Scott Greer, Chris Akin, and Stacey West were in Northeast South Dakota awaiting 13 young adults and their dogs for a DU Dog Training event sponsored by Avery.

There were no big groups of mallards. No incredibly long retrieves. It was just a good time where we all learned a little about ourselves and our dogs.
